Bayamo, second village founded in Cuba by Diego Velázquez in 1513, under the name of San Salvador de Bayamo is the capital of the province of Granma. Birdplace of Cuban Nationality, where they first sang the National Anthem of Cuba. Its historic city center was declared a National Monument on October 10, 1978
