Topes de Collantes is one of Cuba’s most accessible and spectacular mountain settings. The Villa Caburní is a collection of independent houses nestled in this natural landscape catering to individual and family travelers fascinated by the great outdoors.
Villa Caburní is located 800 meters above sea level, in the extraordinary Topes de Collantes nature reserve. Part of the Sierra de Escambray mountain range in Sancti Spíritus province, Topes de Collantes is home to numerous endemic flora and fauna species. With an average temperature of 21˚C, an abundance of fresh mountain air and terrific hiking, this is a unique paradise for nature lovers.
Villa Caburní, a 3-star property, is recommended for families and those preferring the privacy and independence of a (basic) home with private parking. Staying in one of these houses is like being dropped into an intimate Cuban community. Though accommodation is in individual houses, there is a small reception area, restaurant and bar. Villa Caburní makes an ideal base for hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Trinidad (a UNESCO World Heritage site) just 20 km away.
Topes de Collantes has various separate parks, of which is divided into six parks: Guanayara, Codina, Altiplano Topes de Collantes, El Cubano, El Nicho and in the Trinitarian Caribbean, Cayo Las Iguanas, all sites of spectacular beauty. The Caburni falls, is a very popular hike because it ends in Caburni River with a cascade of 62 meters and a series of natural pools.
Prices are per 2-bedroom house, maximum capacity 4 people.
