You can’t go any farther west in Cuba than the Guanahacabibes Península, where the Villa Cabo de San Antonio is located. The Roncali Lighthouse here marks Cuba’s westernmost point – some 345km from Havana.
Villa Cabo de San Antonio is surrounded by largely virgin areas of lush vegetation and pristine beaches, making it an ideal destination for eco-tourists.
Set back from the beach amid dense flora, the 16 cottage-style cabins integrate well with the surrounding environment and provide guests a home away from home.
Villa Cabo de San Antonio is the only hotel in the area and the place to lay your head if you’re after peace, quiet, and a remote beach, with optional adventure activities. This is an extremely tranquil destination and beyond the hotel reception, comfortable cottages, and small restaurant/bar, there is little here but the deserted beach and the animals which call the Peninsula home.
From the hotel you can walk along wonderful natural paths, bordered with endemic flora. The Roncali Lighthouse is just 3 kilometers away. Other attractions include the caves Paulino, La Sorda and Cueva Del Francés, the latter with aboriginal wall paintings.
While Maria la Gorda profiles itself as a sublime diving (and snorkeling) destination within the Biosphere Reserve Guanacahabibes, Cabo de San Antonio makes an excellent opportunity for Big-Game fishing, rather undiscovered as well.
The marina at Cabo de San Antonio is at 3 kilometers from the hotel (please note, there is hardly any transport from the hotel available. You get there or on foot, or with your own rental car).
Snappers (Cubera and especially Mutton) are found abundantly in these waters, as well as Wahoo, Jacks, the Grouper family, Albacores and Bonitos.
Marina Gaviota Cabo de San Antonio offers a Big-Game Fishing package, including:
- 4 (6, 8 or more) hours offshore fishing, up to 4 persons per boat.
- Expert guide
- Open bar (national drinks)
- Fishing trips of 6 hours or more include a snack

Book this package on-line together with your accommodation in Villa Cabo de San Antonio. Prices are per boat. In case of 4 participants; book one room and add the selected package (valid for 4 persons) and book the second room without any additional services.
