This was the first time we had visited Cuba so I am no expert but we have done quite a bit of worldwide travel. My husband, myself and our 13 year old son visited this resort on october 2008.
We absolutely loved it here. The staff were very friendly esp the entertainments team. Our son loved every minute of it as there was always something to do. The beaches were lovely. My husband and I are vegetarian and I am a very fussy veggie but there was always plenty of choice, the chefs would cook anything for you and they were great with the kids (making mouse shape pancakes)nothing wastoo much trouble. If I am fussy I would say that some of the paintwork on the hotel was a little tired looking. But we were having such a great time it didn't matter as the rooms were spotlessly clean.(apparently is being refurbed in 2009) I am not one for going anywhere twice but I would certainly visit Cuba again and even the same hotel.It was excellent value for money.

Before i start i'd like to say we have been to the caribbean a few times so I feel qualified to compare.
My husband my daughter (14) and I spent 2 weeks here in May/June 2004. Im due to go back on 15th September 2005 only this year we are going for 3 weeks. And actions speak louder than words.
Beaches are to die for the rooms are spacious and clean and Cayo Coco Hotel is bright and breezy. We didnt see our daughter much as she was so well entertained and any parent knows if your kids are happy you have a better time. The food is ok the pool is lovely there is plenty to do if you want to do it and you can find a quiet spot if you just want to relax and chill on your own. The animation team are a good bunch and we had a ball in their company whilst we were there. If this years trip is half as good as last year I know we will have a great time.

I have travelled to 6 different islands in the caribbean and this resort in Cuba was by far my favourite. In fact I travelled there for a week in April of 2005 and went back again for another week in June of 2005. The resort is beautiful and well maintained...the beach is incredible, white sand and water in the ocean you can see right through with tons of fish swimming around your legs. The food was pretty good, which is impressive even for me to say because I am a picky eater. Most of all I have to say the staff were incredible. Very friendly, always willing to help you out...any of them would bend over backwards for you for nothing. The entertainment team were great...you could see how much work they put into their jobs everyday and just how much they loved it. The nightly entertainment was also fantastic...the shows the entertainment team put on required so much prep time by them and the disco was always a blast, with all the staff going and dancing with the tourists teaching salsa dancing. They are incredible dancers!! I would recommend this place any day and plan on returning again really soon. I can honestly say a lot of the staff there have become family to me.

Have just spent 2 weeks in sol cayo coco and had an excellent time. Great company and lots of activities for children in a safe enviroment. Majority of staff are great with the exception of 1 or 2(which you can find anywhere).I left sol cayo coco the day the hurricane hit Cuba, but the preparation they did to prevent any further damage to the hotel and the people was excellent. I would recomend to anyone and i myself will be going back.

Once you have paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:
- If you cancel the reservation 48 hours or more before your intended arrival date, we will refund you the total amount that you paid minus an administration fee equivalent to 3% of paid amount, with a minimum of EUR 15.
- If you cancel the reservation less than 48 hours of your expected check-in date, we will refund you the total amount paid minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay.
- If you do not arrive at the hotel on the date of your expected check-in, we will refund you the total amount paid for the reservation minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay for no-show charges. Refunds must be requested in writing within 60 days of the date of your intended stay at the hotel. Once this period has passed, no refunds will be made.
We will not make refunds to credit cards, other than the credit card that was used for your booking. We may process refunds via wire transfer, in which case we will deduct any bank charges from the refundable amount. We aim to process refund within 72 hours after receiving your refund request and required information.
Payment Policy:
Reservations require payment in advance. Your credit card will be debited within 24 hours after making your reservation. Accepted credit cards - VISA, MASTERCARD. Your bill will state: www.ctnres.com. The total charge includes all room charges and taxes, as well as fees for access and booking. Any incidental charges such as parking, phone calls and room service will be handled directly between you and the property.
Hotels will provide accommodation to the person under whose name the reservation was made (“lead passenger”), and to accompanying persons as per the exact amount of adults and children booked into each room. The lead passenger must be present at the time of check-in.
Bed type and smoking preferences are not guaranteed. Your reservation is guaranteed for late arrival. Accommodation is usually available from 16:00hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00hrs on the day of departure. The number of guests in each room is limited to the number of beds provided by the hotel. If the number of persons arriving at the hotel is different to the one selected during the reservation process, or children are not of the age required to classify as such in terms of rates/discounts (see "Children Policy"), additional charges will apply, payable directly to the hotel.
Child Policy:
Infants up to 1 year 11 months: free of charge. Children rates will be confirmed during the online reservation process. Children rates apply for ages 2 - 11 years, and only when sharing room with two adults. Children 2-11 years sharing room with 1 adult must be booked as adults (double/twin room). Children 12 years and older must always be booked as adults.
